Getting a tattoo is a procedure known since ancient times for religious or aesthetic purposes. A tattoo is the application of ink to the skin. It is done with a needle or not and with permanent or non-permanent inks. This procedure is followed by various side effects or complications. In this paper we show some different complications after applying a tattoo or after procedures for removing a tattoo. As the popularity of tattoos continues to grow, so do the potential complications and negative effects. Our goal is to present the risks and complications after getting a tattoo and after tattoo removal procedures. In this paper we report some of our clinical cases of various complications after performing a temporary or permanent tattoo, and after laser application for tattoo removal. These risks can be: infections (bacterial or viral), inflammatory reactions, allergic dermatitis, keloids or hypertrophic scars. We have reported or any dermatological disease localized to the tattoo.
